Hi there,
I have a Grundig console, radio, record player. It was bought in early 60's, possibly,1962. The model is C-U8034 and 2293. Record changer model # AG-1025. These are all the numbers I can find on it. I have all the instruction mannual that came with it. Is this something you would be interested in. It's in wonderful condition. It was always in my home. The only thing it might need is an adjustment in the record player. Please let me know what you think. Janie

Hi All,

I have a Grundig Console, model 7025 that needs a new chassis. I know other models will work in the cabinet, and I'm not a "purist", I just want it to have the 5 push buttons under the "multisonic" equalizer. Can anyone help me? If a chassis isn't available, does anyone know where I can take it for repair? I live in Los Angeles, but will send it it to Jupiter if it means I'll have a working unit.

Thanks,

Tony

I just got a Grundig Majestic 7018 console, radio and turntable in pretty good shape from an Antique shop. I works, sorta. Sound is a little weak. I need to find some schematics, service materials etc so I can start getting it fixed up. Also, can anyone suggest where I can look to find out when it was built, and where I can find parts if necessary. Does anyone out there have any of these materials. Any help will be appreciated. Cant wait to getting it working properly to see how it sounds. Contact me at jd.harris@med.ge.com

I looking for a needle and also I need a Manual for the
same Grundig-Majestic 7028/usa.
a Grundig-Majestic Musical Instrument # 7028/usa. Or any place in Riverside/San Brenadino, Ca. that might carry or order these 2 items.

After a little more research and an email, I have found that on my turntable it says REX, Perpetwun Elner. I have no way of finding out a part # for the needle I need.

I have a Grundig Majestic console. The number is SO 170 U and 2142 No. 60735. It is in excellent condition. Has all working parts except the phonograph is gone and it needs a new power plug. Does anyone know how much a unit like this would be worth? That and where would I find a collector?

I have an old Grundig Majestic model 4095 radio. It would probably work, but at some time. the speaker wires (2) came off from where-ever they were soldered on to. The radio has 4 speakers hooked together with one lead (2 wire cord) attaching somewhere. Nearby is a transformer that has a bunch of wired soldered on it, so they may have been there. I just can't tell. If someone could email me any information, or pics, or schematics of a similar one, i might get it going. My email is Thanks

Good afternoon.

My name is Gary, and I am seeking some advice about a older stereo console I have. It is a Zenith, model LR920AE.

It has an Allegro sound system, AM/FM radio, 8-track player and record turntable. My guess is that it is at least 35-40 years old, maybe older.

My daughters want me to keep it, so I am merely looking for input on its value and age.

Any input will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone knows when the last floor standing console stereo was produced, not counting these new fakey "nostalgia" models.

I inherited my mom's 1963 JC Penney console. It was pretty good for it's day, with a "lightweight" (I am guessing it tracked at 2-3 grams) tonearm, a decent ceramic cartridge, tube amp (FM was mono although an adapter for multiplexing was available [we never got it]}, 12 inch woofers and horn/midrange/tweeters in an infinite baffle configuration. Dad bought it at an "unclaimed freight" store for a song. The only gripe I had about the design was the downward facing horizontal louvres in front of the drivers; it would have had even better sounding highs if they had not done that; looks good though. Right now it is acting as a TV stand for my 36" Toshiba. Someday, when I get a wall mounted HDTV, I'd like to have this refurbished for grins.

I recently acquired a Grundig Stereo console SO 312 U/S multiband radio SW1/2, FM, BC (AM) and stereo record changer TW 504 GT. Cabinet is wood and in good condition. The women who owned it left it behind when her childern moved her to a nursing home. That's a story for another day. I am wondering what it could be worth.

I can be reached at mnwcsult@mnwcsult.com

Ray,
My Sams 1976 Annual Index, and the Grundig Master data list of European models, identify a model 4090/USA and a model 4095 (European model); but neither of them reflect a model 4095/USA. As it is, both models were produced in the 1956/57 season. Both models contained a 9-tube chassis and used either the EM34 or EM35 tuning indicator tube. EbaY prices since June 2003, for exceptionally nice units reflect prices of $399 (Feb 2004); $490 (June 2003); and $760 (Jan 2004).
Respectfully,
Robert

Hi. I was cleaning out my grandmothers house to sell and found a Grundig Majestic Model 4095 USA. My mother believes its my Dad's, and that he bought it in the late 1940's or early 1950's new. The table top radio is in good condition and will play, but only AM.

I have the manual and it states the radio is an FM/AM Shortwave 3-band Table Model with multi-sonic tone control. It has ivory-looking push buttons on the bottom center. It is in very good physically-looking condition and is lite-oak/maple. Dimenions are about 36" long and 18" high.

Does anyone know if these are valuable? I hate to let the flea-market dealer get our possible treasure for $5.

Please respond to stingerwolf@wildmail.com You can also call (210) 885-9714 if you're interested in it. But hurry, the flea market dealer is coming this afternoon around 5pm Central time.

Looking for the insurance value of my radio. It is Grundig Majestic 7038 USA. With a tape recorder TM 20 and a Perpetuum Ebner REX AA ten record changer. The body is in great condition, with a sunburst pattern on the front. Also included are all the original manuals, two Grundig brand reel tapes, as well as several other, many small parts and pieces, and original "REX" brand adjustment tool for the record player. Radio still works, with all buttons and lights intact, face plates in great shape. The record player needs a new needle, but works, and the tape recorder needs to be put back together (all parts included.)
Was interested in selling it or at least getting a value for insurance. Can't fins anyone who knows anything about this beauty. Even wrote to the company, they said they had nobody who could determine an accurate value for it.
Any help will be appreciated.
